"This boy can boogie!"

~John Lee Hooker
Biography

MUMBLEFINGER, that's me,was born awhile back and started playing guitar and writing songs when he was 12 or so. Played in local bands through high school, then kicked around New York, San Diego, San Francisco, Nashville and places he can't remember too well.

While playing steadily throughout the Bay Area in the late ‘90s, MUMBLEFINGER, that's me, released three CDs on his own,"Wrestling Grandma" "Southern fried n' greasy" and "Nasty Bits of Funk." Songs from the last two albums have been showcased on the nationally syndicated "House of Blues Radio Hour". Mumble has opened for John Lee Hooker, Leon Russell and Roy Rogers. Yipee! That and a buck fifty'll get you a bad cup of coffee.

MUMBLEFINGER, that's me again, sent some of his songs to legendary producer Barry Beckett (Dire Straits, Bob Dylan, Bob Seger, Etta James). Barry expressed his enthusiasm for what he described as "the best songs [he'd] heard in years." MUMBLEFINGER, that's me, and Barry Beckett worked together at Beckett's studio and recorded The Beckett Sessions. Even with big guns like Barry, John Lee and songwriter/legend Curly Putnum singing his praises...nothin'! Zilch. No record deals for Mumble. Bummer.

But, he is (Mumblefinger) still trying! In the meanwhile, you can help put food on the Mumble dinner table by buying some songs. It's a great idea, easy, and fun to do. There's also a shit-load of free downloads that he recorded as home demos. Some sound great, some sound pretty sloppy, but they are free, so quit yer belly achin' and check it out.

thanks for spreading the word....Mumble
